I loved these books! So good. Some mild language I could have done without, but I enjoyed the suspense, the romance, the magic, I especially enjoyed the musical element and the addition of some celtic lore as well (I used to be an Irish dancer). Great writing. Read Lament in less than 24 hours and immediately began the next. :) Ballad is written from the perspectives of two other characters and was just as engrossing for me as the first. I thoroughly enjoyed the story though much of it was achingly sad and felt very "lament"-able. I had many laugh out loud moments with James' jaded sense of humor. SO funny! A few things didn't add up quite so well, so I'm hoping more will be explained in the sequel. And that there will be more of Luke & Dee! :)

I'm looking forward to reading Maggie's "Wolves of Mercy Falls" series - Shiver, Ballad, and Forever (to be released July 2011) - I'm guessing it might be a while before Books of Faerie #3. :)
